AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHARTER ORDINANCE NO. 1263 REGARDING QUORUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CITY COUNCIL, RILEY COUNTY KANSAS

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Riley, Riley County, Kansas adopted Charter Ordinance No. 1263 on February 10, 2004 which established a quorum as four council members rather than three.

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such a quorum requirement is no” longer desirable due to changes in the Open Meetings Act.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF RILEY, KANSAS as follows:

Section 1. Charter Ordinance No. 1263 is hereby repealed and the city will return to following K.S.A. 15-106.
